What The Role Is
Reporting to the Director, Conventional Accounting, the Settlements Analyst is responsible for managing the revenue billing and accounts receivable process for large utility‑scale solar and wind plants, understanding contractual stipulations associated with price and quantity (as these inputs drive settlement activity), and managing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements. This position is also responsible for managing shadow settlements for various ISOs (independent system operators).
This role collaborates internally with the Accounting team, Asset Management team, and Energy Risk Management team and externally with customers and other third parties.

What You’ll Be Doing- Energy settlements experience with complex structured transactions and RTO/ISO Settlements, and a fundamental understanding of energy trading risk management (ETRM) systems. Responsible for managing the dispute process with the ISO and qualified scheduling entities (QSE).
- Responsible for the management of all assigned ISO processes, including data management, reporting, and timely analysis.
- Support the Accounting team with various tasks, including recording settlement activity as part of accounting close, managing regulatory filings and audit requests, and performing trend analyses.
- Responsible for all revenue billing and cash applications for all large utility‑scale solar and wind projects.
- Provide reports, analyses, trend analyses, or other ad hoc reports as required by both internal and external parties to support legal, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
- Responsible for maintaining all documentation related to settlement processes in support of internal and external audits and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
- Engage in special projects or requests as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field required.
- Minimum of 2 years in accounting or finance.
- Knowledge of SAP, general financial reporting software, and applicable power and utilities platforms used for invoicing and recording is needed.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable (and to a limited extent) accounts payable process.
- Baseline knowledge of the renewable energy industry is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines, and working together to achieve company‑wide objectives.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, such as queries, pivot tables, and formulas, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products.
- Written and verbal communication skills that enable effective communication with various groups within the company (particularly the Accounting and Asset Management teams).
- 1-2 years of settlement experience is highly preferred.
- Previous energy industry experience is preferred.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.
Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations
$65,000 — $85,000 USD
