Strategic Finance Manager
Our client, a proptech startup, is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to support financial planning, growth strategy, and capital-markets initiatives.
LocationSan Francisco, CA. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with in-office collaboration 3 days per week.
Job DescriptionThefirm operates multiple revenue streams within the platform and continues to expand its footprint through operational optimization and data-driven decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced environments, enjoys complex financial modeling, and can partner closely with executive leadership.
Responsibilities- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, maintaining forward-looking financial models and reporting frameworks
- Deliver analyses and insights for executive leadership to support strategic decision-making and board-level discussions
- Support capital markets initiatives, including relationship management, fundraising preparation, and due diligence activities
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, and go-to-market teams to evaluate new initiatives, model unit economics, and guide resource allocation
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track business performance and key financial metrics
- Provide financial recommendations informed by a deep understanding of the company’s products, services, and business model
- Prepare clear, concise presentations and analyses for internal stakeholders
- Support ad hoc financial projects, strategic reviews, and business case development
- Collaborate frequently with senior leaders, providing monthly reporting and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance
- Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel proficiency
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort level interacting with senior executives and external stakeholders
- Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with financial systems and analytics tools is a plus
