What The Role Is
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Tax Planning, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager for all tax planning activities, including US federal and state income tax, transaction tax return support, cash tax optimization, credits and incentives, and transaction diligence.

What You'll Be Doing- Calculate tax basis, 704(b) capital accounts, and transaction-related impacts while explaining the impacts for tax compliance.
- Preparation of memos and presentations to document diligence and transactions.
- Review of financial models, including cash taxes, partnership capital accounts, and credit & incentives related items.
- Assist with tax research for unique tax fact patterns.
- Collaborate closely with Accounting, Business Development, and Portfolio Finance to support transactions and ensure tax modeling accuracy.
- Drive process‑change to optimize tax planning and enhance efficiency.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Education, Taxation, Business/Administration, or similar
- 4+ years of professional experience.
- 2 to 3 years of federal and state tax compliance or tax planning experience with a public accounting firm or large corporate tax department.
- Partnership (Sub K) tax experience.
- Desire to learn data translation using Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and explain tax-related items to non-tax audiences.
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent efforts and provide high-quality deliverables accurately and on time.
- Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Experience with tax analytic tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, and AI-related applications
- Industry experience in energy, private equity, or real estate.

Salary Range: $99,000 — $116,500 USD (subject to location, experience, education, and certifications)
