About the RoleThe Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for minimizing B2B customer past‑due accounts receivable, consistently achieving high volume customer contact goals, collecting past‑due amounts, and coordinating payment agreements with customers. The role requires acting with urgency, prioritizing work based on direction from the Credit and Collections Supervisor, and focusing on overall goals, specific contact goals or aging balance reduction priorities identified by management.
Responsibilities- Effectively utilize and manage customer portals and other communication methods.
- Maintain customer touch points and past‑due goals in accordance with company standards.
- Interact with customers daily, from initial contact to closure, following up on commitments and maintaining a record of all contacts.
- Alert internal stakeholders to collection escalations.
- Recommend credit holds and write‑offs.
- Coordinate collection strategy and customer communication with field personnel.
- Continuously seek improvements to payment processing solutions for varying customer payment types, including ACH and remittance formats.
- Analyze and manipulate data and spreadsheets to reconcile issues and support internal and external collaboration.
- Complete ad‑hoc requests as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in A/R, credit, and collections.
- Superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Goal‑oriented behavior and strong time‑management principles.
- Customer‑focused attitude with firm collection enforcement.
- Extensive attention to detail.
- Ability to toggle between projects and responsibilities with ease.
