Role Summary
Leads the finance function across UNACEM North America, providing strategic direction over business and financial performance and analysis, corporate finance, and treasury activities. Serves as the Chief Financial Officer's key business partner, shaping decisions on financial performance, capital structure, and corporate transactions, while translating actual business results into executive level insights, forward-looking analysis, and management reporting that strengthen disciplined decision making and the long term financial health of the organization.
PurposeProvide strategic leadership over the organization's financial and business performance and analysis, corporate finance, and treasury activities, translating actual business results, forecasts, and operational indicators into insights that drive executive decision making. Lead corporate finance and capital initiatives, establish financial direction on liquidity, capital structure, and treasury policy, and promote scalable reporting and process automation to sustain the long term strength of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the analysis and interpretation of actual business and financial performance across UNACEM North America, translating operational and financial results into executive level insights, recommendations, and management actions.
- Challenge operational and commercial leaders on performance drivers, margin behavior, and resource efficiency, supporting disciplined execution and accountability across the organization.
- Establish performance review mechanisms and management reporting standards that provide executive leadership with clear visibility into the financial and operational health of the organization.
- Lead the FP&A agenda across planning, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business performance reviews, ensuring that financial projections are integrated with operational and commercial drivers.
- Develop executive reporting packages, dashboards, and decision support materials that provide the CFO, Executive Leadership, and Board with concise, actionable insights on performance, risks, opportunities, and required management actions.
- Identify, prioritize, and automate manual finance processes, reporting routines, and recurring analyses, improving accuracy, speed, and control while freeing finance teams to focus on higher value strategic decision support.
- Partner with Accounting, Operations, Commercial, IT, and Group Finance to improve data quality, reporting governance, and the use of systems and analytical tools for scalable financial planning and performance management.
- Provide strategic financial leadership over corporate finance initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing transactions, and other strategic capital decisions critical to the organization's growth and long‑term value creation.
- Lead capital structure decisions and intercompany financial arrangements, ensuring alignment with the parent organization and supporting cross border financial activities.
- Manage foreign exchange and interest rate exposures through hedging strategies and treasury policies, ensuring exposures remain within approved tolerances and aligned with corporate financial guidelines.
- Direct treasury activities including cash management, liquidity, funding, and debt management, ensuring sufficient financial resources and optimal financing terms to support the operational and strategic priorities of the organization.
- Drive working capital strategy in partnership with operations, commercial, and accounting leadership, improving cash conversion and the efficient deployment of financial resources.
- Establish treasury and financial operations policies and controls that ensure sound stewardship of the organization's financial resources and compliance with corporate guidelines and regulatory expectations.
