Personal CFO

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile finance professional to serve as Personal CFO / Director of Finance for three real estate principals. This is a senior, hands-on role that sits at the intersection of personal wealth management, real estate investment, and operating company finance.

The Person al CFO will be the principals’ primary financial resource, responsible for managing and coordinating all financial matters across their personal balance sheets, real estate portfolios, and affiliated business ventures.

In addition, the role will provide accounting and financial reporting support to Soltrust Advisors, the external manager of Soltrust Residential REIT, though it will not be responsible for property-level reporting for Soltrust Residential REIT’s owned portfolio.

The CFO-level responsibilities for Soltrust Residential REIT itself - including oversight of the REIT’s books and financial reporting, its owned buildings, investor reporting, audit coordination, and broader fund-level leadership - may be folded into the role over time if the individual proves to be the right long-term fit and the organization is ready for that transition.

The Person al CFO reports directly to the three principals and works in close coordination with their outside advisors, including tax preparers, attorneys, lenders, insurance brokers, and third-party property managers. The existing Investment Controller would be a direct report to this position.

• Prepare and maintain personal financial statements for each principal, including balance sheets, income statements, and net worth summaries
• Coordinate and manage each principal’s overall balance sheet, tracking assets, liabilities, and equity across all holdings
• Liaise with outside tax preparers to ensure timely preparation and filing of all required federal, state, and local tax returns
• Manage cash flow planning and liquidity across personal and investment accounts, including daily treasury management
• Coordinate with attorneys, bankers, insurance brokers, and other outside professionals on financial matters
• Gather, record, and consolidate property-level income and expense data from third-party property managers across the principals’ portfolio
• Maintain accurate books and records for all principal-owned properties
• Analyze rental property cash flows and work with third-party property managers to optimize leasing, occupancy, and revenue performance
• Prepare and present periodic financial reports on portfolio performance, including variance analysis and key operating metrics
• Provide ongoing property-level accounting and financial reporting for properties owned directly by the principals
• Liaise with outside tax preparers to ensure timely preparation and filing of all required federal, state, and local tax returns and distribution of K-1’s

• Build and maintain financial models for development opportunities, including pro formas, return analyses, and scenario modeling
• Prepare loan packages, draw requests, and supporting financial documentation for construction and permanent financing from third-party lenders
• Manage the financial oversight of properties under construction, including budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting against construction budgets
• Monitor development timelines and flag financial risks or cost variances to the principals

• Track and report on the principals’ active and passive investment portfolios, including real estate partnerships, private equity, and other alternative investments
• Monitor investment performance, distributions, capital calls, and compliance requirements
• Assist in underwriting and evaluating new investment opportunities as directed by the principals

• Provide day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting for Soltrust Advisors, the management company for Soltrust Residential REIT
