Director, Clinical Operations
Location: This position is based out of evolved
MD's corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona.
The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for designing, standardizing the scaling of evolved
MD's clinical operating model across markets. This role owns clinical workflows, external and internal referral pathways, clinical systems and clinical readiness for growth. The Director ensures that clinical operations, technology enablement, and care coordination function as an integrated system that supports quality, efficiency, and scalable expansion.
- Collaborates with clinical services to ensure standardized end-to-end clinical workflows
- Partner with Compliance and Finance to ensure workflows support billing and regulatory requirements
- Ensure clinicians are optimized to operate at the top of license
- Reduce variation across markets while maintaining clinical quality
- Establish scalable clinical operating standards to support national growth
- Own the care coordination operating model across all markets
- Define referral pathways, transitions of care, and coordination workflows
- Establish performance standards and KPIs (timeliness, utilization, handoffs)
- Determine partner requirements, expectations, and accountability standards
- Ensure care coordination scales consistently across customers and regions
- Oversee high-impact relationships with community partners to optimize patient care
- Directly manage the Manager, Clinical Technology & Enablement, providing strategic direction and prioritization
- Ensure all clinical technology platforms support scalable, high‑quality clinical operations across markets
- Set enterprise priorities for clinical technology enhancements based on operational impact, clinician efficiency, quality outcomes, and scalability
- Ensure clinical systems are standardized, interoperable, and repeatable across markets and service lines
- Maintain a forward-looking roadmap for clinical technology and informatics capabilities
- Partner with Clinical Services, Operations Strategy & Customer Experience to support:
- national customer onboarding readiness
- new market readiness
- new clinical programs and expansion
- Collaborate to design clinical workflows and care coordination models for new markets and customers
- Master's degree or higher in a clinical behavioral health field, public health, healthcare administration, or related discipline required.
- Licensed clinician preferred with demonstrated ability to lead beyond direct clinical care.
- Demonstrated success leading clinical operations at scale, including workflow standardization, care coordination, and multi‑site or multi‑market environments.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling clinical operating models.
- Strong track record of partnering with cross‑functional leaders (operations, technology, analytics, compliance, customer teams) to deliver measurable outcomes.
- Experience overseeing or partnering closely with clinical technology and informatics functions.
- Demonstrated ability to translate clinical workflows into scalable, technology‑enabled systems.
- Strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills, with experience using data to drive workflow optimization, operational efficiency, and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and executive‑level relationship skills, with the ability to align diverse internal and external stakeholders around shared clinical and operational goals.
- Comfortable operating autonomously in a growth‑stage organization, balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on problem solving.
- Willingness to travel periodically to support market launches, partner alignment, and clinical operations oversight.
