ABOUT THE JOB:

The Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing the Success Factors payroll and timekeeping systems with the purpose of improving operational efficiencies. This role serves as the subject matter expert for payroll, timekeeping, and workforce management software, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and efficient workflows. Responsibilities include requirements development, testing, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Under the direction of the Sr.

Manager, Payroll, the analyst ensures accurate payroll administration and maintains compliance with federal and state regulations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Payroll System: Perform functional analysis, document business requirements, test and implement payroll and timekeeping updates and enhancements. Maintain system tables and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Payroll Processing: Develop in-depth understanding of the payroll process.
  • System Support: Troubleshoot payroll issues, perform scheduled maintenance, and recommend solutions to optimize functionality. Serve as a liaison between HRIT and Payroll to ensure effective system performance and coordination.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement workflow enhancements and policy updates in collaboration with leadership and vendors.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc reports using reporting tools. Monitor data integrity and provide actionable insights. Assist the payroll manager with internal audits, compliance reviews and maintaining adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Training & Documentation: Create user guides and train users on new features and processes.
  • Professional Development: Stay current on system capabilities, payroll regulations, and industry best practices. Participate in user groups and training sessions.
EDUCATION AND

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. An Associate's degree with additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll administration.
  • Proficiency in payroll platforms (Success Factors/SAP ECP preferred) and advanced Excel skills; ability to configure and troubleshoot systems.
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, COBRA, ERISA, and FMLA.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FCP) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with prevailing wage regulations and processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting data and identifying trends.
  • Technical proficiency with payroll systems, and data reporting tools; strong computer literacy including advanced Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity and confidentiality in all payroll processes. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and continuous process improvement.
  • Six Sigma or process improvements experience a plus
