Join Delta Dental of Arizona, the state’s #1 dental and vision insurance company, as the Director of IT Strategy. In this senior role, you’ll define and align the IT strategy with business strategic imperatives to deliver measurable results. Reporting to the SVP of IT, you’ll play a pivotal part in aligning our digital strategy with annual priorities, ensuring every technology investment directly supports our mission and growth.

Base pay range: $164,000 – $240,900 per year (actual pay based on skills and experience).

• Shape and execute digital strategy: Partner with business and technology leaders to align technology investments with business growth, efficiency, and transformation.
• Drive enterprise‑wide impact: Lead disciplined execution, governance, and value capture through innovative business models, digital initiatives, and commercial optimization.
• Foster collaboration and best practices: Champion cross‑functional problem solving, executive alignment, and the adoption of digital operating models that accelerate delivery and manage risk.
• Lead with insight and influence: Provide consultative leadership, rigorous analysis, scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis, and compelling communication to guide strategic decisions and inspire high‑performing teams.
• Strategy Development: Design and implement digital strategies that advance next‑generation business capabilities through technology. Stay ahead of competitive dynamics and emerging technologies.
• Strategic Planning: Translate enterprise priorities into multi‑year investment cases, actionable roadmaps, and implementation plans that deliver measurable outcomes.
• Build Models: Develop financial, technical, and operational models to identify opportunities that create value. Provide consultative services to make evidence‑based decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years experience in healthcare management consulting, including healthcare digital transformation.
• Proven expertise in developing and executing business and technology strategies that deliver measurable enterprise outcomes.
• Strong healthcare business acumen with the ability to engage C‑level executives on strategic priorities and transformation agendas.
• Formal training in structured consulting methodologies and hypothesis‑driven problem solving, with a track record of high‑standard strategy deliverables.
• Advanced financial and analytical skills, with experience building investment cases and applying ROI, NPV, and TCO frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross‑functional teams and manage multiple concurrent transformation initiatives.
• Exceptional communication and client‑facing skills, with a proven ability to build trusted executive relationships.
• Strong critical thinking, synthesis, and structured analysis skills to convert complex data into actionable insights.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and influencing stakeholders across diverse business and technology functions.
