Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development, technical support, or operations.
• Exposure to SRE (Fin Tech preferred)
• Strong knowledge of systems and multi-tier application and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with load balancing principles (F5 & Avi).
• Familiarity with infrastructure/cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) preferred.
• Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible).
• Knowledge of Git Ops and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with experience in Terraform, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in incident management and handling.
• Okay working 12 hour shifts

Job Description

This Production Operations Engineer will be a part of the Command Center for a large financial client. You will troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across various environments. This includes monitoring sites, triage, identifying root causes for incident management tier 1 support.

In this role you will:

• Perform Linux system administration tasks, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and security management.
• Conduct systems and multi-tier application and network troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage load balancing solutions (F5 & Avi) to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize infrastructure/cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, Azure) to support and scale production environments.
• Employ configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) to streamline operations.
• Leverage Git Ops and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, with demonstrable knowledge of Terraform, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
• Manage and respond to incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates.
