Job Summary:

Geologics Corporation is a client in the Defense-Aerospace sector seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. The role involves maintaining the reliability of mission-critical resources, monitoring systems, and automating recovery mechanisms to support operational needs for the warfighter.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring uptime of critical systems through incident response and triage

• Automating systems administration using Bash, Python, or Ansible

• Monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise services with Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk

• Configuring enterprise services using Ansible, YAML, or JSON

• Developing recovery procedures for large-scale systems, including backup and restore or blue/green deployments

• Proven track record of maintaining system uptime by diagnosing and resolving complex, system-wide incidents

• Collaborative team player experienced with diverse engineering teams

• Up-to-date knowledge of technology trends and a drive to champion innovation and process improvements

• Hands-on experience monitoring large-scale systems and automating triage of emerging issues

• Mixed job experience involving software engineering, systems administration, and network engineering

• Candidates must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.

• Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

Preferred:

• Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
