Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force - Senior Information Systems Specialist position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will perform IT functions including design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of applications supporting business processes. To be considered, you will have an Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant work.

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire Overview Our client delivers advanced engineering solutions supporting mission-critical operations for the Department of Defense and aerospace programs. This role focuses on Linux and cloud application support within secure environments, ensuring virtual machines and applications run successfully in a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment. * Perform IT functions including design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of applications supporting business processes.
* Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Red Hat Linux, UNIX, Windows) and Trusted Network Environment (TNE) Pitbull administration.
* Troubleshoot OS and associated hardware/software at the command line level.
* Provide day-to-day network security operations and maintenance for secure network infrastructures (CONUS and OCONUS).
* Configure, install, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, VOIP systems, video teleconferencing, and related network components.
* Support fiber optic and Ethernet cabling installations for network systems.
* Deploy and maintain PaaS systems, including monthly updates and troubleshooting VM/application issues. Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a specialized area or equivalent experience and 2+ years of relevant work; OR Master's degree.
* Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux administration and troubleshooting.
* Understanding of routing protocols, TCP/IP, and network security requirements.
* Familiarity with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VM management, containerized services, and tiered helpdesk support.
* Ability to work in hybrid environments with secure systems and compliance requirements. Clearance Requirements
* Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire.
* Applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
* U.S. citizenship is required. Preferred Skills
* Experience with Linux system administration, cloud application support, and secure network troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with DISA, IC, and coalition security requirements (e.g., STIGs).
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve user experience and system performance. Workplace Options
