Expert Level Travel Network Engineer

Note: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Must have strong experience with Palo Alto implementations & configurations.

We are seeking a highly experienced Expert‑Level Network Engineer with deep hands‑on expertise in network design, architecture, and Palo Alto firewall implementations and configurations. This position involves substantial travel across multiple states and supports a wide range of business units within a dynamic enterprise environment.

Location:

Travel to AZ, CA, NV, UT (75% of the role is traveling). Candidates must reside in the Pacific Time Zone (PST). This is a contract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. The role is a hybrid position in Scottsdale, AZ.

• Network Engineering & Infrastructure
  • Design and architect enterprise‑scale network environments
  • Configure and deploy routers, switches, and other network systems
  • Lead on‑site installations of Cisco and Palo Alto hardware
  • Perform rack & stack activities, structured cabling, and hardware mounting
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, cabling faults, and access/switch problems
  • Support WiFi and wireless connectivity across Cisco
    , Aruba
    , and Meraki platforms
  • Work extensively inside IDFs, MDFs, and server rooms
  • Support and maintain server infrastructure, including:
    • VMware vCenter
    • Windows Server
    • HyperV
    • Scale Computing

• PCNSE certification
• CCNP or higher Cisco certification
• Proven experience deploying and configuring Cisco switches
• Strong understanding of rack/stack, cabling, IDFs/MDFs, and data center environments
• Ability to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructures
• Experience leading multisite network deployments or refresh projects
