Job Overview
The IAM Automation Engineer designs and implements automation solutions to streamline identity and access management operations. The engineer manages provisioning workflows, supports IAM technologies, and contributes to secure, scalable access controls. The role operates with moderate autonomy, collaborates across IT and business teams, and plays a key role in enhancing IAM maturity.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement IAM automation solutions.
- Manage provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
- Support IAM tools and technologies.
- Integrate IAM with HR systems, Azure AD, LDAP, and other directories.
- Analyze and improve IAM processes and recommend solutions.
- Document solutions and collaborate across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in identity and access management.
- Experience with Active Directory and Azure environments.
- Proficiency in Power Shell scripting and automation.
- Object-oriented programming experience.
- Experience with IAM tools, MFA, SSO, audit processes.
- Knowledge of audit and risk management (preferred).
- Experience working in healthcare or regulated industries (preferred).
- CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified:
Azure Fundamentals/Administrator/Identity and Access Administrator, or Okta Certified Professional (at least one).
- Automation, Cloud, IAM tools and integration.
- Strong scripting and automation ability.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to security and compliance.
Intermediate Level
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Scottsdale, AZ. Hybrid work arrangement.
Pay and Benefits- Pay range: $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
