Axon's Data and Integrations Team is seeking a Data Solutions Engineer II to design, build, and deliver end‑to‑end integration solutions for public safety agencies. In this role, you'll architect robust integration solutions, build and maintain data pipelines, partner directly with clients to scope projects and communicate progress—all while operating with a high degree of autonomy. Your work will have a direct impact on how agencies protect and serve their communities.

Axon has led the global effort to protect life through electric weapons, body cameras, a number of real‑time sensors, public safety software products, and AI tools. Axon is uniquely positioned to tie together every aspect of an incident in order to help law enforcement agencies better prepare for what might happen, respond efficiently and effectively, deliver justice, ensure the well‑being of their officers, and increase the safety of communities.

Working together with our customers and product teams, you will build the foundation for Axon’s outcome‑oriented data efforts.

Location:

Ability to travel up to 30%. Must be within commutable distance to one of our Hub locations listed below:

• Develop and maintain pipelines on Axon's system integration, data integration, management, and analytics solutions.
• Develop and maintain automated processes that support Axon's product deployment and evolution at scale.
• Execute projects including Data Store and Integration Deployments, with a heavy focus on Design, Configuration, Deployment, and Testing of Integrations.
• Serve as a key client‑facing technical expert within the Software Solutions Delivery Team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of networking and software professionals to implement Axon technology for public safety clients both internally and externally.
• Manage the full lifecycle of technical projects, both remotely and on‑site at client locations.
• Engage effectively with technical and non‑technical leadership within public safety agencies to communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Identify and assess integration requirements when migrating from agency legacy systems (cloud and/or on‑premise) to Axon's product suite.
• Design, document, and recommend integration plans, methodologies, and validation strategies tailored to achieve critical agency objectives.
• Work closely with product management, sales, software engineering teams, and agency technical stakeholders to deeply understand agency goals, data landscapes, and desired program outcomes.
• Utilize and contribute to a library of data tools, ETL scripts, data validation routines, and established best practices to design and oversee the execution of complex projects.
• Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and techniques to optimize integration processes, improve accuracy, and enhance overall project efficiency.
• Partner with internal teams and agencies to make public safety data accessible and actionable.
• Influence peers, advise leaders, coach and mentor junior team members.
• Facilitate cross‑team collaboration among data solutions engineers, customer solution architects, technical program managers, and business analysts.
• Uphold and champion the highest standards of service delivery for all Axon software deployments.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or quantitative field, OR graduate of coding boot camp, OR 5+ years of technical experience in a related field.
