Job Description
We are looking for a hands‑on GCP Data Engineer with strong SAP Finance (FI) knowledge to support the buildout of a Finance Data Platform on Google Cloud (Big Query). The consultant will play a critical role in integrating SAP S/4
HANA or ECC FI data into GCP, enabling financial reporting, reconciliations, and planning use cases.
Build scalable pipelines using Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow and develop logic using SQL and Python. Design finance‑ready datasets based on trial balance, P&L, and balance sheet structures, and implement data models for cost centers, profit centers, and more. Build curated layers for downstream analytics using PowerBI and Tableau.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Extensive experience with Big Query, fluent in design
- Proficiency in SQL (advanced) and Python (data engineering use cases)
- Hands‑on experience working with SAP FI data: GL, AP, AR, CO components; understanding of accounting fundamentals (P&L, balance sheet, journal entries)
- Experience building ETL/ELT frameworks using Dataflow, Composer (Airflow), dbt, and Dataform; strong understanding of data modeling (dimensional or data vault) and data quality and reconciliation techniques
- Experience with SAP S/4
HANA or Central Finance (CFIN) - Familiarity with SAP data structures and finance tables
- Experience integrating with planning and reporting tools:
Anaplan, SAC, Power BI, Tableau - Experience implementing row‑level security / IAM‑based access controls, data governance frameworks
- Prior experience in healthcare, retail, or enterprise finance organization (strong plus)
