This position will operate on a hybrid schedule, coming into the Scottsdale, Arizona (preferred), Columbus, Ohio, or Des Moines, Iowa office two days per week, with remote candidates possible. Candidates will be required to work Arizona Time Zone hours. The role is on the Athena team supporting the Express Protect Guidewire Build and Run. Prior experience in the insurance industry and Guidewire Insurance Now package product knowledge are strongly desirable.
Job Description SummaryAs a Technology Analyst, you will partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and outcomes, translate those outcomes into solution requirements, and provide analytical support across the full lifecycle of technology solutions. You will engage in work ranging from minor defect fixes to the development of new applications, and will work with both custom development and package implementation across all application domains.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with the business and other technology professionals to understand business needs and outcomes.
- Translate multiple business outcomes into solution requirements.
- Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to safeguard data and technology solutions.
- Execute moderate requirements and ensure business alignment using facilitation and visual management techniques.
- Document and clarify requirements work products.
- Provide mid-level analysis related to understanding and meeting business outcomes.
- Verify, trace, and manage functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Maintain a good understanding of the applications used in the specific Business Solution Area(s) (BSA).
- Conduct quality improvements by providing complex analysis of relevant data.
- Execute the complete requirements lifecycle from ideation through implementation.
- Lead or partner to facilitate requirement sessions with business leaders and technology professionals using visual facilitation techniques.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reports to Technology Manager or Director.
Typical Skills and Experiences- Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or related field.
- Six years of relevant work experience in software delivery or educational experience within a technology domain.
- Experience delivering technology and/or business solutions across industries, platforms, and lines of business, particularly in insurance and/or financial services.
- Demonstrated capability in managing the requirements lifecycle, including facilitation, elicitation, and documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication, planning, influencing, negotiating, and prioritization skills.
- Industry knowledge of insurance/financial services is a plus.
- Licensing or certifications not required but encouraged.
