Job Summary

We are seeking a VP, Central Technical Services to own the strategy, delivery, and performance of our customer‑facing IT services and infrastructure that underpin our building technology solutions.

This Role Has Two Core Mandates
  • Digital Service Center Program – technical product management, engineering, and cybersecurity for shared digital services that connect customer facilities to our managed offerings.
  • Infrastructure Delivery Team – design, deployment, and lifecycle support of customer‑specific IT infrastructure that support building technology subsystems.
Responsibilities
  • Digital Service Center Technology Program
    • Own the technical roadmap for shared / common services that sit between customer sites and our digital platforms (e.g., connectivity, VPNs, remote access, monitoring, hosted applications).
    • Collaborate closely with the Digital Service Center to align with real‑world branch and customer needs.
    • Lead technical product management and engineering:
      • Needs analysis, market reviews, product evaluations, solution road‑mapping.
      • Feature backlog, release planning, and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure security‑by‑design: identity and access management, hardening, patching, logging, and secure remote access patterns; coordination with cybersecurity stakeholders and customer Info Sec teams.
    • Provide Tier 3/4 engineering support: complex incident resolution, root‑cause analysis, problem management; tooling, observability, and automation to improve reliability and reduce MTTR.
    • Standardize reference architectures and patterns for connecting customer environments to our managed platforms and third‑party cloud services.
  • Infrastructure Delivery Team
    • Lead the team responsible for design, deployment, and support of customer‑specific IT infrastructure.
    • Establish and enforce standards for technical design, documentation quality, and architecture consistency.
    • Oversee delivery of enterprise‑grade infrastructure: network (LAN/WAN/VPN), server, storage, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra , Azure‑hosted services, virtualization platforms.
    • Guide architecture and implementation of application layers (VMS, access control, BMS) and supporting services.
    • Oversee advanced software deployments, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting: version management, regression risk mitigation.
    • Support lightweight software development and scripting.
    • Advise customers on IT/OT convergence best practices.
  • Leadership & People Management
    • Build, lead, and develop high‑performing teams.
    • Establish clear roles, accountabilities, and career paths.
    • Foster a culture of engineering excellence, documentation, standardization, and continuous learning.
  • Service Governance & Delivery Excellence
    • Define and own standards, reference architectures, and technical design patterns.
    • Set and track KPIs such as infrastructure availability, security posture, delivery quality, customer satisfaction / NPS.
  • Customer, Vendor, and Internal Stakeholder Management
    • Act as senior technical leader and point of escalation.
    • Support pre‑sales and solution design.
    • Manage relationships with key technology vendors.
    • Collaborate with service operations, security, AV, cabling, construction, corporate IT, cybersecurity, finance.
Supervisor Duties

In accordance with applicable policies and laws, the supervisor shall plan, assign, and direct work; coach and appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
