Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support and evolve a secure, scalable cloud environment powering mission‑critical financial services applications across Australia and New Zealand. You will play an important part in delivering reliable, high‑performing Azure solutions while allowing engineering teams to deploy efficiently. This role reports to Cloud Platform Manager.

• Implement and maintain Dev Ops practices
  , including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), to refine deployments.
• Develop and support cloud solutions
  , including deployment pipelines, automation, virtual machines, and PaaS services.
• Assess security vulnerabilities
  , ensuring understanding of security standards.
• Manage and apply cloud network configurations
  , including Network Security Groups, virtual networks, subnets, and firewall rules.
• Collaborate with teams to lead consistency, reliability, and continuous improvement across environments.
• Monitor and improve cloud usage and costs through efficient provisioning and right‑sizing of resources.
• Maintain clear and up‑to‑date technical documentation for processes.
• Ensure cloud platforms meet availability, performance, and service level requirements
  .

• At least 7+ years of experience working in Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Azure or AWS, including Terraform, Network Security Groups, Entra , and Azure Storage.
• Desirable, but not essential:
  Experience working with Checkpoint firewalls.
• Mandatory: Holds a tertiary education degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least one of the following certifications:
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Dev Ops Engineer Expert
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Azure Network Engineer Associate
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
