What the Role Is
The M365 Cloud Engineer is a key member of the IT Infrastructure team at Clearway Energy Group (CEG). The M365 Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and optimization of Microsoft 365 collaboration services and Power Platform, with a strong focus on SharePoint Online. This role partners closely with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly collaboration solutions across the enterprise.
The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in M365 workloads, strong SharePoint architecture experience, and a passion for improving productivity through automation and governance. The IT Infrastructure team ensures that this critical infrastructure is secure, highly available, right-sized, and compliant with all regulatory guidelines by which CEG is governed. The M365 Cloud Engineer is responsible for all aspects of M365 applications and services deployed within CEG, including Office 365, Power Platforms, and SharePoint, as well as monitoring and support of the overall service.
You'll Be Doing Systems/Applications Integration
- Microsoft 365 design and configuration to align closely with the Operations, Security, and Applications teams
- Provide engineering support for a complex Microsoft Entra, including identity access management and AD topologies in a hybrid environment
- Design, implement, and manage SharePoint Online sites, hubs, permissions, content types, and information architecture
- Coordinate with the CEG compliance team to align M365 cloud IT processes with all regulatory requirements
- Provide support for the maintenance of the company wide Disaster Recovery Plan
- Analyze and ensure proper monitoring solutions are in place that will notify and alert the teams of potential issues that could impact the availability and functionality of critical systems and applications
- Provide a strategic vision and roadmap to analyze and evaluate new technologies and solutions to enhance the IT environment to serve strategic and tactical business objectives
- Coordinate and participate in planned maintenance activities to ensure IT systems are properly implemented and maintained according to best practices with minimal impact on the business
- Coordinate with the team to develop and maintain proper processes, procedures, security, and system documentation according to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
