PostgreSQL Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and SQL Server
, along with exposure to Oracle and automation using Ansible
. The role involves managing, optimizing, and automating database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.

• Install, configure, and administer PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases across environments
• Perform database tuning, performance optimization, and query optimization
• Manage backup, recovery, replication, and high availability setups
• Automate database provisioning and configuration using Ansible
• Monitor database health and troubleshoot performance or availability issues
  
  Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching activities
• Work closely with application, Dev Ops, and infrastructure teams
• Ensure database security, access control, and compliance standards

• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • PostgreSQL (Primary skill)
  • Microsoft SQL Server
• Working knowledge of:
  • Oracle (Good to h
  Automation & Tools
  • Experience with Ansible for database automation and configuration management
  • Exposure to scripting (Shell/Python/Power Shell) is an added advantage
  Expected Skill Proficiency (Evaluation Benchmark)
  • PostgreSQL: 8.5 / 10 (Expert level, must-have)
  • SQL Server: 7 / 10 (Strong working knowledge)
  • Oracle: 5 / 10 (Basic to intermediate - optional)
  • Ansible: 6 / 10 (Moderate automation capability)
