About

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support the Purchasing team in procuring finished goods, materials, and services for the organization. In this role, you will collaborate with suppliers, operations teams, and third-party manufacturing partners to ensure inventory availability, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, supply chain operations, inventory management, and ERP systems, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and manage purchase orders for inventory products and other business requirements.
  • Track purchase orders and supplier deliveries to ensure products are received accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify, evaluate, and support onboarding of prospective suppliers.
  • Assist with request for proposal (RFP) processes, including supplier communication, proposal evaluations, and pricing negotiations.
  • Resolve purchasing and receiving issues, including damaged shipments, product quality concerns, and delivery discrepancies.
  • Generate reports, spreadsheets, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to purchasing and inventory management.
  • Maintain and distribute daily operational and inventory reporting.
  • Monitor inventory levels, on-time delivery performance, product yields, SKU classifications, and other supply chain metrics.
  • Support forecasting activities for inventoried products and assist with inventory planning efforts.
  • Manage specification and label review processes with third‑party manufacturing partners.
  • Participate in weekly supplier and production review meetings to discuss open orders and production schedules.
  • Coordinate freight deliveries, shipment pickups, and transportation activities.
  • Identify and present cost‑saving opportunities through supplier negotiations and process improvements.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience creating and managing purchase orders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build positive supplier relationships.
  • Understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within the dietary supplement, nutraceutical, direct selling, consumer products, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with Net Suite Purchasing and Inventory Control modules.
  • Familiarity with cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) environments.
  • Experience with document control processes.
  • Experience with inventory forecasting and KPI reporting.
  • Familiarity with Concur, High Jump, or similar business systems.
  • Experience working with third‑party manufacturers (3PMs).
