Responsibilities
- Identify and screen potential subcontractors based on project scope, risk requirements, safety record, financial stability, and past performance.
- Maintain and update the approved subcontractor database.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all documentation is complete and current.
- Draft and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) aligned with project requirements and timelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to define scope and evaluation criteria.
- Collect and analyze bid submissions for completeness, competitiveness, and compliance.
- Perform bid leveling to ensure accurate comparison across vendors.
- Facilitate clarification meetings and support negotiation efforts.
- Conduct risk assessments including financial, operational, and contractual exposure.
- Recommend qualified subcontractors based on technical capability, cost, and risk profile.
- Document sourcing decisions and maintain audit-ready records.
- Prepare subcontractor award packages and coordinate handoff to the operations team.
- Ensure all contract terms, scope, and deliverables are clearly communicated and documented.
- Support post-award onboarding and kickoff activities as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in solar, power generation, or construction.
- At least 2 years of experience negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Viewpoint is preferred.
- Strong understanding of procurement procedures, risk management, and contract law.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel (5–10%) as required.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
- Ability to benchmark suppliers, evaluate proposals and present findings to management.
