Purchasing Manager

About the Role

Jenco is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement of goods and services for our business unit. In this role, you'll negotiate directly with suppliers and vendors, manage pricing agreements, and oversee the terms and conditions on purchase orders, lot POs, rentals, and related procurement activity - all in support of efficient, cost-effective operations in the electrical contracting industry.

• Negotiate and renegotiate pricing agreements with suppliers, vendors, and representatives
• Source and arrange purchase of goods and services needed for efficient operations
• Develop procurement and pricing policies and procedures
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and market data to determine reasonable pricing
• Prepare purchase orders and bid proposals; review requisitions for goods and services
• Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance and identify needed changes
• Research and resolve invoicing issues, complaints, and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, costs, delivery, product performance, and inventory
• Stay current on procurement trends, tools, and enterprise solutions through industry memberships, conferences, and training

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing role with similar responsibilities
• Previous purchasing experience in the electrical industry required
• Strong knowledge of purchasing principles, processes, and accounting/budget management fundamentals
• Strong mathematical and analytical ability
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and customer relationship skills
• Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Familiarity with automated pricing/purchasing systems, databases, and websites
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain any required security clearances/badging
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
