** in the Scottsdale, AZ region.
** Position Responsibilities
** We are seeking an Underwriting Manager to join our highly collaborative team of underwriters.  The Underwriting Manager will manage surety business development activities, production, and underwriting within Scottsdale, AZ region.
** Performance Objectives and Timeline**
* ** During the first 30 days:
** Get to know the TMHCC Surety Group team, get up to speed on our systems, surety underwriting policies, procedures and philosophy, and internal resources.
* ** During the first 3 months:
** Establish and build agency relationships, manage the regional underwriting of commercial surety bonds.
* ** During the first 6 months and beyond:
** Develop business objectives, implement strategies to grow the regional surety business.
** Education and Experience
*** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience
* Success characteristics:  + Collaborative, team-first perspective  + Excellent analytical and documentation skills  + Keen eye for accuracy, details, thoroughness  + Customer service mindset – responsive with external customers and internal colleagues  + Excellent organizational skills  + Excellent, clear written and verbal communication skills
** This position is based in Scottsdale, AZ and requires regular onsite presence. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate upon offer acceptance.
