Part-Time Dog Baker

About the Role

Francis And Bee’s PETS is a growing Arizona-based pet treat company specializing in handcrafted, plant-based dog treats. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and efficient part-time baker to help with our weekly treat production.

This is a great opportunity for a culinary arts or baking student looking for paid, hands-on experience in a real small-batch production environment without committing to a traditional part-time schedule.

This position is only one 5-hour shift per week
, and we are flexible on the day to accommodate school schedules.

Your weekly shift can be:

• Morning: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM OR
• Evening: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM

We can work together to establish a consistent day that fits around your classes.

• Prepare dog treat dough according to established recipes and measurements
• Mix, roll, cut, shape, and bake multiple varieties of treats
• Follow production instructions to maintain consistency from batch to batch
• Properly measure and handle ingredients
• Keep your workstation and equipment clean and organized
• Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures
• Help us produce as much quality product as efficiently as possible during the scheduled production shift

No decorating, cake experience, or pet-industry experience is required. We can teach you our recipes and production process.

You may be a great fit if you:

• Are currently studying culinary arts, baking, pastry, or a related field
• Enjoy hands-on baking and production
• Can follow recipes and measurements accurately
• Work efficiently without sacrificing quality
• Are dependable and punctual
• Keep a clean and organized workspace
• Are comfortable standing and working in a kitchen for up to five hours
• Are interested in gaining real-world experience with a growing small business

This isn't a restaurant kitchen or a traditional bakery position. You'll get firsthand experience seeing how a small food-based brand takes a product from recipe to production to finished product to customer and retail shelves.

As Francis And Bee’s PETS grows, there may also be opportunities for additional hours and responsibilities in the future.

$18–$20/hour
, depending on experience.

Approximately 5 paid hours per week to start.

Production will take place at a commercial kitchen in Scottsdale, Arizona
