The RN is accountable for coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care, planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of care for assigned patients. The RN leads activities such as preceptor roles, quality improvement efforts, and may participate on committees or projects.
The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, acuity, and resources. Excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills are essential. A subset of employees may be required to use personal vehicles for part of their duties. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
Graduate of an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA accredited baccalaureate nursing program. If the program is not accredited, at least one year of RN experience in a relevant care setting or one year of LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required. Entry‑level associate degree RN candidates must provide documented evidence of baccalaureate completion within five years of RN start date. Associate degree RN candidates who started prior to April 1, 2020, must provide evidence per hire requirements.
- In‑person, high‑autonomy ambulatory position.
- Full‑time nurse triage, visits, patient coordination, IV placements, and VNS/RNS/DBS programming.
- 3 years of RN experience preferred.
- Neurology experience preferred.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Duties:
Lumbar puncture, skin punch biopsy, fat aspirate, TCD/IV, patient triage. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Mandatory computer skills, experience with an electronic medical record system preferred.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on‑call.
- Adaptability to unpredictable situations in the work environment.
- Demonstrated leadership, effective communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- BLS certification valid for 90 days post‑start date from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Full time, 80 hours per week. Days and hours: 08:00‑16:30, Monday‑Friday, 5 day 8‑hour shifts. No weekend or on‑call hours.
