Skilled Nursing. Shift: Evening (Part‑time). Department: OR Operating Room‑Main. Sign‑On Bonus available. RN Circulating Operating Room experience required.
- Guide nursing practice based on ANA Standards and Code of Ethics.
- Record patient medical history and symptoms; perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
- Operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications, and assist with patient follow‑up and rehabilitation.
- Develop or contribute to a care plan, including medication administration (ensuring correct dosages and avoiding interactions), starting and maintaining IV lines, administering therapies, observing patients, and consulting with physicians and other clinicians.
- Teach patients and families how to manage illnesses or injuries, explain post‑treatment and home‑care needs, diet, nutrition, and exercise programs, and self‑administration of medication and therapy.
- Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides and delegate tasks when appropriate.
- Support efforts to advance clinical knowledge and skills, precept new‑hire staff and students, and help staff complete competency tasks.
- Continuously enhance knowledge in nursing management and patient care as required.
- Collect health data systematically, prioritize based on patient condition, involve family, and analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and develop evidence‑based care plans.
- Implement interventions, initiate treatments, medications, emergency and resuscitative measures per standing orders and protocols.
- Provide nursing care that meets the physical; emotional, spiritual, and social‑cultural needs of patients and families using a family‑centered approach.
- Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations, interventions, therapeutic measures, and monitoring data.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of care plans, develop standards of care, and identify practice changes using evidence‑based approaches.
- Integrate ethical principles into all aspects of practice, enhance knowledge of culturally diverse populations, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in professional development and research activities.
- All Diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months of hire or have at least five years of RN experience (direct or indirect) at time of hire.
- Required:
Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing. - Preferred:
Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN).
- At least ten months in a med‑surg or acute specialty setting.
- At least one year of RN experience for float positions.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license, state of Arizona or Compact.
- National certification for the unit‑specific patient population required upon hire.
