A postdoctoral fellowship position is available immediately in the Department of Immunology at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ under the supervision of Dr. Sang Kon Oh, PhD, a Professor of Immunology of the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
The research fellow/senior research fellow will participate in our research program for the induction and maintenance of immune tolerance in the context of transplantation rejection and inflammatory diseases. She/he will investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms for the pathology of autoimmune diseases (including scleroderma and lupus) and transplantation rejection. Our translational research program aims to define the underlying biological pathways for the establishment of immune regulatory networks in patients.
Previous experiences in autoreactive B cells/autoantibodies and single cell analysis (e.g., sc-RNAseq and BCR sequencing) will be highly advantageous. Qualified candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree and a publication record that demonstrates proficiency in the areas described above. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants.
Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
