Position: Full Time Sales Supervisor

Full Time Sales Supervisor – Scottsdale, Arizona

The Sales Supervisor is a sales‑driven position with leadership responsibilities. He/she is primarily responsible for achieving individual sales goals while setting an example for the store team in exceptional customer service and consistently upholding the company’s standards and vision. In the absence of Store Management, the Sales Supervisor oversees store staff and acts as the most senior presence in the store.

Job Responsibilities Leadership
  • Lead by example in exceptional customer service and store standards
  • Act as a James Perse brand ambassador
  • Assist Store Management in driving and motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales goals and store KPIs
  • Consistently represent and reinforce company standards and policies
  • Demonstrate expertise in product knowledge, company history, and brand values
  • Identify opportunities in product, sales, and team development and strategically present ideas and solutions to Store Management
  • Apply local market knowledge of clientele base and brand competitors
  • Aware of business trends that influence store success
  • Clearly articulate ideas and tailor approach to audience
  • Establish clear direction and gain the respect of the store team
  • Suggest appropriate partnerships in the local community
  • Contribute to and create an overall positive atmosphere in the store
  • Collaborate with other colleagues to achieve business objectives
  • Communicate any pertinent information gathered from customers to Store Management
Sales
  • Achieve and exceed individual sales goal and company KPIs (UPT, ADT, etc.)
  • Consistently ensure customers are the number one store priority
  • Assist sales associates in suggesting additional merchandise to clients
  • Use suggestive selling techniques through styling and product knowledge of luxury furniture industry
  • Incorporate James Perse lifestyle into the selling experience
  • Consistently build and develop client base
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Proactively network and grow clientele base
Customer Service
  • Warmly greet all customers with a sincere welcome
  • Assist Store Management in ensuring staff consistently prioritizes the customer’s experience
  • Facilitate consignments and client appointments based on customers’ needs and requests
  • Elevate the level of customer service to set the James Perse brand apart from competitors
  • Support staff in creatively individualizing the customer experience
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Encourage collaboration among all team members
  • Ensure all aspects of the business are managed and maintained in the absence of Store Management
  • Conduct store meetings (e.g., morning meetings) in the absence of Store Management
  • Resolve customer issues and/or complaints satisfactorily
  • Ensure the sales floor is appropriately covered
  • Ensure staff floor presence represents the James Perse brand appropriately
  • Assist Store Management in recruitment efforts to source exceptional talent
  • Assist in onboarding new staff members and ongoing training of existing staff
  • Assist in articulating company expectations to staff
  • Follow up and monitor store staff in achieving goals
  • Hold staff accountable through coaching and counseling in partnership with Store Management
Operational Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store and oversee all procedures
  • Maintain store standards (cleanliness, maintenance, etc.)
  • Manage inventory
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are upheld
  • Assist store team with merchandise movement (transfer, charge‑sends, etc.)
  • Ensure all staff partakes in replenishment of product on the sales floor and maintenance of back stock
Principal Skills, Knowledge, and Personal Attributes Required Special Skills
  • Prior experience in a retail luxury store dealing with high‑end goods and clientele‑oriented sales
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • Proficiency with Teamwork or similar retail system
  • Ideally established clientele following
  • Ability or willingness to relocate for career development opportunities
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3‑4 years of experience in a luxury environment and/or similar industry
