Pawnbroker Customer Service

We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Pawn Broker to join our team. This is a hybrid store position, with regular scheduling between our Scottsdale and Glendale locations.

• Scottsdale: Saturdays and Mondays — part-time
• Glendale (85302): Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• Schedule consisting of 4–5 days per week
• Reliable transportation between locations is required.

We believe in developing our team from within. After approximately 6-12 months, performance will be evaluated for the opportunity to advance into a Floating Key Carrier / Floating Assistant Manager position.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to grow beyond a sales role and take on additional responsibility in store operations and leadership.

As a Pawn Broker, you'll be an important part of the customer experience, helping customers with pawn transactions, purchases, and sales while maintaining a professional and welcoming store environment.

You'll evaluate merchandise, assist customers with loan transactions, handle cash and POS transactions, and help maintain an organized and attractive storefront.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys interacting with a wide variety of customers, and has strong communication and sales skills.

• Assess and appraise a variety of merchandise for pawning or purchase, considering condition, market value, and demand.
• Facilitate pawn loans by clearly explaining terms, determining loan amounts, and accurately documenting transactions.
• Handle cash, payments, registers, and daily cashiering responsibilities with accuracy.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and provide product recommendations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and utilize upselling techniques to increase sales opportunities.
• Operate POS systems for sales, returns, payments, inventory, and other transactions.
• Maintain an organized and appealing sales floor through merchandising, stocking, and product presentation.
• Assist with inventory management, including stock counts and maintaining accurate merchandise records.
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
• Follow all company security procedures and help maintain a safe environment for customers and employees.
• Work effectively as part of a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

• Previous retail sales or customer service experience is highly desirable.
• 3+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Pawn shop, jewelry, resale, or similar retail experience is a plus.
• Grocery or other high-volume retail experience is highly transferable and valued.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, and retail transactions is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling merchandise, money, and transactions.
• Bilingual English/Spanish abilities are a strong asset.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation is required due to the hybrid store schedule.
• Must be comfortable working in person and traveling between the Scottsdale and Glendale locations as scheduled.

• $17.00–$20.00 per hour
