Interior Design Consultant​/Home Furnishings Sales

Fig & Birch Interiors () has an immediate opening for an Interior Designer / Sales Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic individual with a strong interest and aptitude for contemporary interior design, home furnishings and lighting to join our team in our Scottsdale location.

Fig & Birch is a furniture and lighting showroom based in Scottsdale. At Fig & Birch, we specialize in high-end home furnishings, decor, and lighting. Our amazing staff provides unbeatable service by working as a team. We work closely with clients in our showroom and through in-home consultations to assist them in selecting furniture, accessories, art, and lighting for their projects.

In many cases, we design customized or semi-customized furniture to meet their needs. We also assist them in selecting colors, finishes, and fabrics.

We are seeking a full-time Interior Design Consultant / Home Furnishings Sales professional to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this on-site role, you will assist clients in designing their ideal living spaces by providing expert advice on interior design and furnishing solutions. Day-to-day tasks include creating design plans, selecting furniture and decor, building strong client relationships, and achieving sales goals.

You will also collaborate with other team members to deliver personalized and creative solutions to meet clients' needs.

• Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively understand client needs and provide exceptional support
• Proficiency in interior design principles and techniques
• Experience in sales and working in a goal-oriented environment
• Familiarity with furniture and home furnishings, including design, functionality, and quality
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently to meet client expectations
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Relevant experience in retail, design consulting, or a related field is preferred
• An associate or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is a plus

We provide comprehensive training to new employees in order to familiarize them with our approach and extensive lines of products.

• Provide customer service in showroom including furniture, colorization, and pricing
• Work with customers to fully understand needs and preferences
• Generate sales as a result of in-store and in-home consultations
• Place orders for special order items as necessary and follow-up to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customer
• Develop thorough knowledge of all lines in order to act as key resource to customers and other showroom personnel.

Compensation will vary depending upon performance.
The range for a successful, first year designer is $70,000 to $95,000 in total compensation
. All full time employees are eligible for paid vacation and healthcare coverage.
