Job Overview
We are looking for a Corporate Security Officer to support a professional corporate environment and help maintain a safe and secure workplace role is second shift (2:00p.m. – 10:00p.m.) with two consecutive days off during the week. Candidates must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed and hold a valid Arizona DPS Guard Card license (unarmed or armed as applicable).
Starting salary is $50,000 plus a 10% shift differential.
- Greets all persons entering or calling the office buildings and provides requested information.
- Enforces company security and life‑safety policies and responds to emergency situations such as workplace violence, fires, medical emergencies, and alarm notifications.
- Patrols the campus on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to provide physical security for the facility and its occupants.
- Responds immediately to radio calls and investigates alarms and other incidents.
- Performs investigations, reviews documents and video, talks with suspects and victims, and writes initial loss or incident reports.
- Assists management with investigations, prepares reports for court, and preserves evidence as needed.
- Maintains the card‑key access control system, creates access cards, and manages the database.
- Provides escorts to associates and assists with scheduled facility inspections of fire extinguishers, standpipe systems, public‑address systems, elevators, and fire alarm systems.
- Opens the facility at the end of the workday and secures it until the next scheduled shift.
- May carry a firearm when on duty (if armed), qualify daily, and intervene as required in situations involving imminent risk of harm.
- Provides courier services to financial institutions and monitors electronic protection systems such as alarms, CCTV, access control, and fire systems.
- Dispatches security and public‑safety personnel to alarm conditions across the country from the corporate alarm‑monitoring center.
- Executes life‑safety procedures in emergency situations, including evacuations and search and rescue operations.
- Generates database and activity reports based on alarm activity, directs vendors during installation, and trains end users on system use.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Reports to the Security Supervisor. This is an individual‑contributor role.
Typical Skills and ExperiencesEducation: High‑school diploma required; bachelor’s or technical‑school degree preferred.
Experience: One or more years of related security experience.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Proven knowledge of corporate safety and security practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to learn and qualify for firearm use annually and operate safety equipment.
- Personal‑computer skills, strong verbal and written communication, and sound judgment.
- De‑escalation skills and the ability to provide calm, rational direction.
Overtime Eligibility:
Eligible (Non‑Exempt). The standard workday is eight hours and includes a paid lunch period. Must be in good physical condition, able to walk, run, stoop, kneel, carry, and lift as required. Must be available to work after standard office hours, weekends, and holidays for emergency situations and special‑event coverage.

Background Check:
Valid credit and/or background check required, yearly criminal check for all security associates. Safety‑sensitive position may be subject to random alcohol and drug testing.
Base salary: $50,000 plus 10% shift differential (eligible for overtime). National salary range for Corporate Security Officer: $49,100 – $91,300. Expected starting salary range: $49,100 – $73,700.
