As the visible face of Global Security, the Protective Services Unit is expected to demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, service excellence, and operational readiness while fostering trust, confidence, and a culture of service throughout the organization.

This role is designed for a builder—someone energized by developing people, raising standards, creating culture, and establishing a protective services team recognized for operational excellence, service, and preparedness.

Success in this role is measured not only by operational performance, but by the ability to create a lasting capability that strengthens the Global Security organization and supports Axon's long-term growth.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership experience in one or more of the following environments: military leadership, law enforcement leadership, corporate protective services, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response leadership, public safety operations, or other high-reliability operational environments.

Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to lead highly trained personnel, establish professional standards, foster operational readiness, and build a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and sustain a highly trained Protective Services Unit recognized for professionalism, operational readiness, service excellence, and trusted response capabilities.
  • Establish professional standards, operational expectations, and accountability measures that reinforce a culture of preparedness, discipline, and service.
  • Build leadership depth within the Protective Services Unit through coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and professional development.
  • Foster an environment where team members take pride in representing Global Security and serving the broader organization.

Operational Excellence & Readiness

  • Ensure the Protective Services Unit maintains a constant state of operational readiness to effectively respond to security incidents, emergencies, and organizational needs.
  • Lead planning, preparation, and execution of security operations supporting facilities, employees, visitors, and critical business activities.
  • Conduct readiness assessments, exercises, and operational reviews to continuously improve response capabilities and team performance.
  • Ensure operational decisions reflect professionalism, sound judgment, and service excellence.
  • Develop and maintain training, qualification, and readiness standards that reinforce professional excellence and trusted response capabilities.

Business Partnership & Organizational Influence

  • Serve as a trusted security partner to business leaders, supporting organizational objectives through professionalism, responsiveness, and service-oriented security operations.
  • Build strong relationships across Facilities, EHS, Legal, HR, Workplace Experience, and business functions to ensure security services align with operational needs and employee expectations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities where Protective Services can enhance safety, readiness, employee experience, and organizational resilience.
  • Support company events, customer visits, executive engagements, and high-visibility activities through a professional security presence that reflects Axon's values and commitment to excellence.
  • Promote positive engagement between the Protective Services Unit and employees by fostering trust, approachability, and a service-first mindset.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Global Security organization by demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, and operational excellence in every interaction.
  • Contribute to the continued maturation of Global Security by identifying opportunities to strengthen partnerships, improve service delivery, and elevate organizational capabilities.
