Job Overview
Industrial Program Services Technician I – Brice Equipment, LLC. Based in Arizona, responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belting, rubber components, and related process equipment used in mining, oil & gas, and heavy industrial applications. Supports senior technicians and learns industry-standard splicing methods, safety procedures, and equipment operations under the direction of the Industrial Program Services General Foreman.
Responsibilities- Assist in preparing conveyor belts for mechanical or vulcanized splicing.
- Measure, cut, grind, buff, and skive belt materials.
- Set up and break down vulcanizing equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Support vulcanized splice processes under supervision.
- Operate hand and power tools: grinders, cutters, drills, impact guns, etc.
- Follow belt installation procedures: tracking, tensioning, and alignment.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area through housekeeping.
- Complete basic field paperwork (splice reports, belt logs, QA/QC checks).
- Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow MSHA/OSHA safety rules, job hazard analyses, and lockout/tagout.
- Assist in troubleshooting belt damage, mist racking, and common conveyor issues.
- Adapt work from belts to preventive maintenance tasks such as changing rollers, pulleys, chutes, bearings, and shafts.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle under the company’s Driving Policy.
- Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.
- Willingness to work long shifts, nights, or weekends as required.
- Comfortable working at heights, confined spaces, and around heavy equipment.
- Willingness to travel long distances and stay out of town on projects for 2–3 weeks.
- Strong work ethic and collaborative team‑building attitude.
- Ability to work safely in physically demanding, industrial, and remote environments.
- Mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to use hand/power tools safely, read tape measure accurately, follow verbal/written instructions.
Fast‑paced, multi‑tasking office environment requiring efficient performance. Site‑based role with regular presence at client facilities in mining, oil & gas, or industrial settings, both indoor and outdoor. Position may require extended shifts, weekend work, rotational schedules, and travel depending on project scope and location. Exposure to heavy industrial environments with strict adherence to safety standards.
