Pay Range
$34-$45 per hour
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example by actively working alongside pipe fitting crews in the field.
- Install, assemble, and maintain commercial and industrial piping systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, P&IDs, and isometric drawings.
- Plan daily work activities and coordinate labor, materials, and equipment.
- Perform field measurements and material takeoffs.
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Monitor crew productivity and maintain project schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other trades.
- Troubleshoot installation issues and develop practical field solutions.
- Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and journeyman pipe fitters.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and jobsite professionalism.
- Complete daily reports and communicate project progress to management.
- Minimum 5 years of pipe fitting experience with previous foreman or crew leadership experience.
- Proven ability to supervise crews while performing hands-on pipe fitting work.
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial piping systems.
- Experience with chilled water, hydronic, HVAC, heating, cooling, and process piping systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and construction documents.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of construction safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and perform all aspects of pipe fitting work.
