What this job involves:

As a Plumber at JLL, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the essential systems that keep our clients' facilities running smoothly and safely. You'll be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across commercial properties, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This position requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

What

your day-to-day will look like:
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing equipment for water distribution and waste disposal systems throughout commercial facilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues including leaks, clogs, and system failures to minimize disruption to building operations

  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and implement preventive maintenance measures

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and client standards

  • Collaborate with other trades and facility management teams to coordinate plumbing work with broader building maintenance and renovation projects

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job using computerized maintenance management systems

  • Test plumbing systems and equipment for proper operation, making adjustments and repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance

  • Order and maintain inventory of plumbing supplies, parts, and equipment necessary for efficient service delivery

Required qualifications:
  • Valid plumbing license or certification as required by local jurisdiction

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair

  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to commercial facilities

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

  • Proficiency with hand and power tools specific to the plumbing trade

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between client sites as needed

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose plumbing issues quickly and accurately

Preferred qualifications:
  • Journeyman or Master Plumber license

  • Experience with commercial HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing infrastructure

  • Knowledge of sustainable plumbing practices and water conservation technologies

  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and mobile work order platforms

  • Certification in backflow prevention, medical gas systems, or other specialized plumbing areas

  • Experience working in occupied commercial buildings with minimal disruption to tenants and operations
