Job Summary

The Part‑time Junior Staff member plays a vital role in supporting the safety, supervision, and engagement of Club members across various program areas. Under the supervision of the Youth Development Supervisor, this role assists in delivering high‑quality, outcome‑driven programs that reflect the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Junior Staff contribute to a positive Club experience by helping facilitate activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting volunteers.

Must be accompanied by a staff member aged 18 or older when working directly with Club members.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Designs, organizes, and leads programs and activities based on a structured curriculum.
  • Directly implements programming and high‑impact activities within assigned areas.
  • Delivers engaging sessions using diverse methods such as lectures, discussions, interactive games, and guided role‑playing.
  • Utilizes outcome measurement tools to assess program effectiveness.
  • Conducts programs with enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years old and in their junior year of high school.
  • Active membership with the Boys & Girls Club.
  • Genuine passion for working with youth in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to the evolving needs of the Club.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and personal integrity.
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all members.
Working Conditions
  • Hours:

    10 up to 25 hours a week.
  • Available M-F 2:00-6:30pm and occasionally early release days, based on school year calendar and school year breaks.
