Devereux Arizona’s Residential Treatment Center (RTC) provides intensive, 24-hour support for youth aged 7 to 17 who are experiencing serious emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. In a structured, therapeutic environment, we combine clinical expertise with compassionate, trauma‑informed care to help youth heal, grow, and build a brighter future. The RTC features dormitories, an accredited K‑12 school, food services, 24/7 on‑site nursing, and specialized therapy and clinical services.

Lead Direct Care Professionals (Lead DCP) are responsible for the health and safety of campus individuals and assist Program Managers with supervising, planning, and implementing day‑to‑day program activities. Direct support duties include helping individuals with their mental health, managing behaviors and emotional needs, de‑escalating crisis situations, implementing treatment plans, personal care (bathing, dressing), medication management, transport, fostering social skills, and supporting direct care staff.

Lead DCPs serve as role models, mentors, leaders, and trainers to Direct Care Professionals. They also assist with planning and implementing enrichment activities such as art projects, music groups, culinary arts, athletics (basketball, soccer, swimming), and adult‑transition preparation.

Pay Range: $20 – $22 per hour

Shift Differentials: $1 per hour for 3 pm‑11 pm, $2 per hour for 11 pm‑7 am; 7 days per week.

Schedule: Various full‑time options; ability to work afternoons, nights, and weekends required.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred.
• One (1) year of behavioral health service delivery experience or six (6) months Devereux experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

• Valid Arizona Driver’s License required.
• Must be able to pass a 36‑month DMV check.
• Pre‑employment physical and job demand assessment (if applicable).
• Drug test within 24 hours of offer with negative results.
• Must attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation, Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5:00 pm (paid).
• Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions (or eligibility to obtain such a card).
