Join Our Team as a Hotline Counselor!
What You'll Do:- Provide Counseling Services:
Offer empathetic and undivided attention to help-seekers through phone calls, texts, and live chats, understanding their immediate needs and developing brief action plans. - Documentation & Reporting:
Accurately and completely enter relevant data into our Hotline database in a timely manner, and report information to authorities when legally required. - Maintain Quality Standards:
Stay current on all laws, regulations, policies, and practices related to child abuse and neglect, ensuring adherence to confidentiality, ethical guidelines, and contractual obligations. - Collaborate and Grow:
Attend staff meetings, complete required trainings, and actively participate in team discussions to identify effective approaches and interventions. Engage in reflective supervision to continuously improve your skills.
What We're Looking For:
- Education:
A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; A Master's or Doctoral degree in a relevant field is preferred. - Experience:
Minimum one (1) year of experience working with family violence and/or child abuse. - Knowledge &
Skills:
Strong understanding of laws and regulations surrounding physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, child abuse, neglect, and legal reporting requirements. - Knowledge &
Skills:
Ability to successfully complete Hotline Counselor training and pass all competency assessments. - Knowledge &
Skills:
Must meet all job expectations, including successful completion of the counselor assessment, within the first 90 days of employment.
Tuesday
- Saturday: 7:00am-3:30pm
