Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and takes ownership of meaningful work across a modern technology stack. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role that will help design, build, and evolve the next generation of financial services applications. Our client is looking for someone with strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, and experience delivery quality end to end solutions.

• Build, enhance, and maintain applications across the platform, including trading systems, proposal tools, digital forms, and client-facing features.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
• Contribute to front-end interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Support production environments and participate in a rotating morning system check prior to market open.
• Collaborate within an agile team and partner closely with engineering leadership to influence design, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to a positive, ownership-driven engineering culture.

• 5+ years of experience building software in C#/.NET or another object-oriented language.
• Comfort working across the stack, including databases, APIs, back-end services, and front-end components.
• Strong SQL skills and a solid understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience with one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.).
• Strong grasp of software design principles, testing practices, and version control.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and clear, effective communication.
• Demonstrated ability to take projects from concept through production.

• Experience building APIs or services in .NET Core.
• Exposure to Azure or another cloud platform.
• Familiarity with scalable database technologies or cloud storage solutions.
• Background in financial services or wealth management technology.
