Senior Software Engineer in Test

Location:

Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York; hybrid work model.

The Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) develops and maintains test strategies, designs, plans, and automates testing for large‑scale API, web, and mobile interfaces. The role focuses on continuous integration and delivery, ensuring quality and performance.

• Implement automated test structures in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop component, system integration (E2E), regression, backward compatibility, and performance tests.
• Execute automated and manual test suites and ensure system quality before production release.
• Report defects and manage resolution with development teams.
• Create test artifacts: strategy, plans, cases, and summary reports.
• Seek opportunities to improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with teams to enhance product quality.
• Provide training, mentorship, and support to quality engineering team members.
• Support risk management and protect system integrity and data confidentiality.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience developing software or test automation frameworks using at least two of Java, Ruby, Node.js, or Objective-C (Java preferred).
• Experience with development and monitoring tools such as Git Lab, Git, Eclipse/Android Studio/X‑Code, Bamboo, Harness, Splunk, App Dynamics.
• Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated testing.
• Implementation experience with test automation frameworks for API, web, or mobile platforms using tools like Appium, Selenium, Web Driver, Rest‑Assured API, and Cucumber.
• Knowledge of AWS or cloud services and Kubernetes.
• Background drug screening required.

• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with Device Cloud Providers:
  Browser Stack, Perfecto Mobile, Device Anywhere, Amazon Device Farm.
• Automated and performance testing of REST, XML/SOAP/JSON services.
• Testing of system/server level software, networking sockets and protocols: HTTP, SIP, REST.
• Agile/Lean methodology experience.

• Competitive salary based on location:
  Phoenix/Chicago $106,000–$130,000;
  San Francisco $128,000–$156,000.
