Senior Manager - Software Development Engineering

This Sr. Manager of Enterprise Digital Engineering team will be tasked to lead engineering teams that create a best‑in‑class member experience focused on identifying, prioritizing, shaping, and executing complex enterprise initiatives in partnership with Digital Product Managers.

• Provide technical oversight and design the build‑out and operations of complex distributed systems at scale.
• Direct engineering efforts, ensuring best‑in‑class solutions that scale to future needs.
• Monitor and optimize team and system performance, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
• Establish KPIs and OKRs to unlock quantitative insight and guide process changes.
• Recruit, manage, mentor, and retain a high‑performing engineering team.
• Lead projects from strategy through delivery, prioritizing work in alignment with strategic objectives.
• Coach and guide engineers through pivots while maintaining focus on objectives.
• Collaborate closely with other technical teams (engineering, platform, design, security) to develop solutions in accordance with guidelines.
• Build effective relationships with partners and customers to deliver on their goals.
• Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks; present technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, analytics, and AI.

• 8+ years of IT experience with a focus on engineering and software development.
• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud development in GCP, and experience building applications using Angular and Java frameworks.
• 4+ years recruiting, managing, and retaining a high‑performing team in an agile environment.
• 1+ year experience using generative AI as an integrated component in software solutions.

• Strong experience in Angular, API Platform and full cycle development end‑to‑end.
• Deep understanding of cloud‑based technologies (Azure, GCP, AWS) and engineering frameworks and tools.
• Ability to diagram complex software architectures and communicate complex engineering ideas to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud Dev Ops, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), and GCP managed services.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.

$ – $ per year (base salary). This range may vary based on experience, education, geography, and other factors. The role is eligible for bonus, commission, or incentive program, and equity award program.
