Principal Software Engineer Test Equipment - Scottsdale, AZ

Position:
Principal Software Engineer – Test Equipment (Onsite, Scottsdale, AZ)

• Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows OS.
• Prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
• Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment.
• Develop and derive requirements for software products.
• Lead and mentor junior software engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience; or advanced degree with minimum 5years of relevant experience.
• At least 8years (or 5years with an advanced degree) of experience developing and integrating software applications.
• Proficiency with C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, etc.).
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government‑issued Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

• Experience with computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
• Experience developing software drivers for computer hardware interfaces.
• Knowledge of common hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS‑422.
• Experience with UML for visualizing software architecture and design.
• Familiarity with software development life cycles (Waterfall, Agile).
• Knowledge of software configuration management principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server or Git Hub.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience leading technical teams or projects.

• Competitive salary range: USD 107,500 – 204,500.
