Position:
Principal Software Engineer – Test Equipment (Onsite, Scottsdale, AZ)
- Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on Windows OS.
- Prioritize and manage multiple software engineering tasks concurrently.
- Troubleshoot software and test equipment instrumentation.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment.
- Develop and derive requirements for software products.
- Lead and mentor junior software engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM or equivalent experience; or advanced degree with minimum 5years of relevant experience.
- At least 8years (or 5years with an advanced degree) of experience developing and integrating software applications.
- Proficiency with C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
- Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Hands‑on experience with laboratory test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, etc.).
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government‑issued Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Experience with computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
- Experience developing software drivers for computer hardware interfaces.
- Knowledge of common hardware interfaces and data protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, or RS‑422.
- Experience with UML for visualizing software architecture and design.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles (Waterfall, Agile).
- Knowledge of software configuration management principles.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server or Git Hub.
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience leading technical teams or projects.
- Competitive salary range: USD 107,500 – 204,500.
