Software Integration & Test Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

$42.14 - $48.14 hr

Responsibilities
  • As a Software Integration & Test Engineer for Tactical Communications, you'll be a member of a cross‑functional team responsible for providing rapid prototype mission‑critical solutions to our customer community.
  • Execute software integration and test (I&T) on software‑defined hardware solutions
  • Troubleshoot software bugs realized during I&T, working with hardware and software engineers to resolve
  • Follow best practices for test automation, continuous integration, and test reporting
  • Support development of automated test scripts using Python 3.9+
  • Coordinate integration activities between hardware, firmware, and software teams
  • Support AGILE implementation
  • Support configuration management documentation and processes to release and deliver software
  • Maintain accurate records of test activities and results
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job‑related experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 months of job‑related experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with object‑oriented programming and scripting languages, Python
  • Experience with hardware/software integration testing
  • Experience with test equipment (signal analyzer, signal generator, USRP)
  • Willing to work in a fast‑paced, rapid‑prototype environment, adapting to immediate course correction as needed
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
  • Outstanding communication skills for frequent contact with managers, project teams across the company, and external customers and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with software testing and debug
  • Background in defense or aerospace industries
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success, meeting and exceeding personal and team commitments
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
