Software Development Engineer

Position Summary

Software Development Engineer to design and develop software applications and platforms supporting digital strategies and solutions at CVS Pharmacy Inc., a CVS Health company, in Scottsdale, AZ.

Telecommuting available. Multiple positions.

• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements.
• Determine feasibility of solutions, design and prepare technical design documentation.
• Upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Write and review high quality code, perform unit and/or automation testing.
• Develop and deploy application components, support unit testing, and address bug fixes.
• Participate in Agile Scrum meetings and/or CI/CD activities.
• Support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on application development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices.

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and at least one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• One (1) year of experience in each of the following areas: CI/CD, Jenkins, and GIT;
  Node.js; JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
  Angular and React frameworks; REST;
  Kubernetes;
  Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  MySQL and SQL;
  Typescript;
  Object‑oriented JavaScript; writing application code and deploying to production;
  Agile productivity tools and leading incremental software releases; developing backend services; performing code reviews; collaborating with peers on software development solutions; and working with UI/UX teams to develop wireframes and prototypes based on end‑user feedback and human‑centered design.

Base salary: $/year to $/year. This range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. The position is also eligible for a bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program, and an award target in the company’s equity award program.
