Recreation Attendant; On-Call

In this role, you will assist the Youth & Lifestyle Activities Department in planning, organizing, and executing member events and programs. Responsibilities include supporting youth activities such as day camps, supervised childcare, and holiday events, as well as lifestyle programs including bocce ball, golf croquet, cornhole, dodgeball, bingo, and other recreational activities. Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure members enjoy a safe, engaging, and world-class experience at every event.

• Assist in the daily operations of the Youth Activities Department, including supervising children, providing one-on-one support, and leading or instructing participants in a variety of engaging activities to ensure a safe, positive, and enriching experience.
• Ensure children are learning positive behaviors by providing guidance and being a positive role model.
• Maintain a safe workplace and environment by monitoring children for health, behavioral, and emotional issues and reporting concerns to staff, promptly.
• Assist the Youth & Lifestyle Activities Teams with the Bocce and Croquet lessons, events, and leagues, as well as youth activities programming.
• Referee bocce games, ensure league participants follow rules, assist with setup and breakdown of events, and answer member questions.
• Run league games by monitoring timers, announcing standings, and scoring.
• Understand and maintain knowledge of all bocce league rules and regulations; answer member questions about bocce and the Desert Mountain Bocce Leagues.
• Sweep and maintain playing surfaces during leagues.
• Perform set up and break down of events, including sports equipment and food & beverage offerings.
• Assist with Food and Beverage setup and service during events.
• Provide exceptional customer service to create memorable experiences, including the use of name recognition.
• Continuously monitor and safeguard the member experience to ensure the Sonoran Clubhouse is recognized as a world-class facility.
• Assist all departments as needed and serve as an active team member; understand how each department operates to help during peak times.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Prior childcare or babysitting experience is required.
• Prior customer service experience, and 1–2 years of experience working with children is preferred.
• A current CPR Certification is required.
• Prior sports experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
