Position Objective
This position is responsible for the maintenance and distribution of athletic uniforms and equipment for the school athletic programs. The role works with athletes and trainers to ensure the proper fitting of equipment and oversees student sport managers, monitors site and equipment set-up, evaluates equipment for purchase and use, and maintains inventory and related records.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepares athletic uniforms/equipment for laundering and/or repair.
- Monitors repairs to athletic areas, prioritizes and assigns work, and ensures staff are trained on use of scoreboard controllers, table microphone, wireless microphone, football field sound system, gymnasium sound system and baseball sound system.
- Ensures all lights are working properly in the gymnasium, football field, baseball field and reports issues in a timely manner.
- Maintains inventory of all athletic uniforms and equipment at the end of every season, each semester, and/or annually.
- Identifies and coordinates the repair or replacement of equipment and uniforms based on funding.
- Uses Register My Athlete (RMA) to track athletic fees, uniforms, and coordinate uniform returns.
- Identifies equipment and uniforms required for each athletic team by collaborating with team coaches, schedules fitting times, and prepares student and/or coach inventory forms.
- Coordinates the preparation of field and/or gym sites for athletic events, consults Athletic Director on potential rule changes and coordinates changes or repairs with internal staff or external contractors.
- Obtains quotes for uniforms and other athletic equipment, and inputs quotes and requisitions into I-visions.
- Attends all home sporting events.
- Transports equipment with athletic training staff to and from all away varsity football games, camps, and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and one year of athletic equipment, coaching, or recreation experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties. Obtain Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) certification or complete the AEMA certification exam within 2 years of employment.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS- Valid Arizona Driver’s License.
- Valid vehicle insurance.
- Valid Athletic A.E.M.A certification within 2 years of employment.
- Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC).

Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Medium work includes exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to odors, dust, chemicals, extreme temperatures, work space restrictions, intense noises and travel.

Return To Work Retirees will have an hourly rate approximately ninety percent (90%) of the posted range.
