Certified School Bus Driver ​/ Maintenance Head

Role:

School Bus Driver responsible for transporting students and staff safely to and from school and related events.

• Operate school buses, conduct pre-trip safety inspections, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Transport passengers, ensuring proper drop-off and pick-up, and maintain order and discipline onboard.
• Communicate with school staff, report maintenance issues, and document route logs.
• Operate wheelchair lifts and secure passengers with special needs.
• Explain emergency procedures and ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Assist with minor repairs, maintenance, and yard upkeep as needed.
• Supervise transportation monitors and collaborate during renovations.

• High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years driving experience preferred.
• Arizona Class B Driver’s License with endorsements, and School Bus Driver Certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications, fingerprint clearance, and background check required.
• Ability to operate vehicles with foot controls, use communication tools, and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and conflict resolution skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
