Job Overview – Fund Accountant (Real Estate):
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000/year + bonus.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday (In-Office).
Location:
Montgomery County, PA. This role supports fund accounting, financial reporting, and audit preparation for private debt and real estate equity investments.
This role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to grow expertise in fund operations and investment accounting. You’ll work with third-party property managers and accounting vendors to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Fund Accounting:
Perform monthly and quarterly fund accounting, journal entries, and review financial reports prepared by administrators. - Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Maintain performance metric workbooks and assist with quarterly and annual client financial statements. - Audit & Tax Support:
Prepare documentation for audits and annual tax filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Fee Calculations:
Assist in calculating and reviewing advisory and management fees across portfolios. - Technology & Process Improvement:
Support accounting system enhancements and automate reporting workflows. - Vendor Coordination:
Manage data flow and communications with property managers and third-party accounting providers.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required (CPA preferred). - Experience:
2-5 years of fund or real estate accounting experience, with exposure to private debt, equity investments, and joint ventures preferred. - Technical Proficiency:
Experience with MRI or Yardi property management systems and a strong understanding of automation initiatives and reporting enhancements is preferred. - Skills & Attributes:
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Industry Knowledge:
Exposure to real estate investment structures, private debt, and equity transactions is highly valued.
